Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), which is a public university came into existence in 1969 by the Parliament. It is ranked amongst the top universities in India. It has a rank of 2 and 10 as the top university and top overall university in India as per NIRF 2023. JNU has been accredited with a grade of ‘A’ by NAAC. It has also been declared as a ‘Centres of Excellence’ by the UGC. JNU Results 2023

Jawaharlal Nehru University result 2023 for the current semester has been released by the university. Students can check the results for various courses on the university's official website. It is important for candidates to keep their roll numbers with them as it is needed to access the result portal and helps in downloading the mark sheet with ease. JNU follows the Even and Odd semester format, so the semester-end exams are usually held during June and December. 

The 5th list results for B.Sc., M.Tech., MPH, M.A., M.Sc., MCA, and PG Diploma courses were released on December 28, 2023. Students can access these results on the university's official website under the admission section.

How to Check JNU Results 2023

JNU follows the semester format known as the Monsoon and Winter semester during which the results are usually released in June and December. The results are released on the official website of the university. Students who have appeared for the examinations will be required details such as Application/Registration Number, Course, and Field of study along with the password they created at the time of filling out the application form. Students can follow the steps given below to check JNU results.

  1. On the official website, students need to scroll down and find the ‘Admission Block’ which is next to the Current Events and Notices block.

  1. After going on the admission section students can find various links regarding admission. Over here students can click on Results for their respective courses. 

  1. After clicking on Results, students will now be directed to a new page called ‘JNU Admissions 2023’. 

  1. On the new page under ‘Important Links’ students can find the results released by the university.
  2. After this students will be directed to a new page where they will be required to fill in their Application Number and their Password.

  1. After submitting these details students will now have access to their mark sheets and can download them for future use.

After the students have downloaded the following information should be displayed on their mark sheets.

JNU Viva Voice Result 2023

The Viva Voice examination is held for admission to the Ph.D. courses only. The candidates are admitted on merit on the basis of their performance in the Computer Based Test (CBT) and the deprivation points are added to their score in accordance with the approved admission Policy and Procedure of the University. After the Viva Voice examinations are held the merit list will be released on JNU's official website. 

JNU Results 2023 Revaluation/Rechecking

Jawaharlal Nehru University allows applications for UG and PG revaluation in cases where the students are not satisfied with their results. The Examination Office is in charge of the revaluation of answer sheets and usually rechecks the paper under 45 days from the date of request. Once the revaluation or rechecking is finished the evaluated answer sheet will again be available on the University's website. Students can check their results on the website by filling out their registration or application number along with the password they created.

JNU Courses

The Jawaharlal Nehru University offers more than 100 courses at UG, PG, and Doctoral levels along with various Diploma and Advanced Diploma courses,  in the fields of Arts, Science, Commerce, Computer Applications, Engineering, Management, and more. JNU consists of 13 schools and 7 special schools. Admission to the various UG and PG courses is done through CUET UG, CUET PG, CAT, GATE, and JEE Mains entrance exams. Admission done through the entrance exams depends on the course the candidate has opted for. Below is a list of some of the courses offered at JNU.

Eligibility

B.A.(Hons)Candidates must have their Senior School Certificate (10+2) or equivalent examination from a recognized Board/University with a minimum of 45% marks. The candidates who are due to appear in the Senior School Certificate (10+2) or equivalent examination are eligible to apply.
Integrated B.Sc.-M.Sc.At least Senior School Certificate (10+2) or an examination recognized as equivalent thereto with a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate.
B.TechThe eligibility is as per the eligibility mentioned for JEE Mains
M.A.Candidates must have their Bachelor’s degree in any discipline under the 10+2+3 pattern of education with at least 50% marks in the relevant subjects mentioned by the university.
M.Sc.Candidates require a Bachelor’s (B.Sc. or B.Tech or equivalent) in the relevant subjects required for the course under the 10+2+3 pattern of education with at least 55% marks.
MPH (Master of Public Health)Bachelor's level degree with a minimum duration of four years in clinical sciences viz. MBBS, AYUSH, BDS, BAMS, BUMS, BSMS, BHMS, BPT, BOT, B.Sc. (Nursing), BVSc or a professional degree in Allied Subjects/fields by the corresponding statutory regulatory body, with a minimum of 55% marks from a recognized University/Institution (or equivalent grade B in UGC 7-point scale or equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed)
MCABCA/ Bachelor Degree in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent Degree with at least 55% marks OR B.Sc./ B.Com./ B.A. with Mathematics at 10+2 Level or at Graduation Level with at least 55% marks.
M.TechCandidates must have a Master's degree in Computer Science/ Mathematics/ Statistics/ Operational Research/any branch of Science /Master of Computer Applications (MCA)/Bachelor’s degree in any branch of Engineering/ Technology with 55% marks.
MBACandidates must have a Bachelor's degree with at least 50% marks. Candidates are required to appear for CAT and admission will be done with an interview.

It is important to keep in mind that all these courses have different specializations which have different eligibility criteria

JNU releases its timetable on the basis of the semester format (Monsoon and Winter semester). Students can check the academic and examination timetable on the university's official website. The timetable can be found in the Academic section on the main page at the top. On the Academic tab, students can access the Academic Calendar to get information on the University's class schedule, Mid-Semester examinations, End-Semester examinations, vacation breaks, etc.
