About IIT Delhi

One of the Top engineering institutes in the country is the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi i.e. IIT Delhi. The institute provides courses in Science, Engineering and Technology. IIT Delhi was founded in the year 1961 with the support of the UK government and the Federation of British Industries, London. The institute has a campus of 325 Acres and is located in the Capital City of Delhi. The College offers courses in UG, PG and PhD. The Government of India has also granted the institute with ‘Institute of National Importance’.  It has been ranked the 197th position by QS World Ranking.

Vinod Khosla: Vinod Khosla passed from the IIT Delhi in the year 1976 with a BTech in Electrical Engineering. After that, he went on to complete his MBA and MS from Stanford and Carnegie Mellon University respectively. If we talk about his professional background job experience is concerned he helped in Sun Microsystems, in developing their operating system and JAVA language. After that, he invested in various firms as a venture capitalist which included big firms like Google, Twitter, Square, Airbnb and Stripe. He set up his own business name of Khosla Ventures. It specialises in the internet, Biotechnology and clean technology sectors. He does a lot of charity and philanthropy. 

Sachin Bansal: He completed his Btech in Computer Science in the year 2005. He then went ahead and founded Flipkart along with his classmate Binny Bansal in 2007. Flipkart was valued at $20 Billion in the year 2018. He later established Navi Technologies, which gives loans and banking services online. He has also financed major startups like Ola, Udaan3, Unacademy, and Ather Energy as an investor. 

Kiran Bedi: Kiran Bedi completed her PhD in the year 1993 from IIT Delhi in the field of Drug Usage and Domestic Abuse. She is remembered mostly for being the First Female IPS Officer in the year 1972. While serving in the IPS She was able to implement community policing, prison reforms, traffic management, and anti-corruption tactics. she was also part of the anti-corruption movement along with Anna Hazare. She also joined politics in 2015 as a BJP candidate.  She served as the lieutenant governor of Puducherry in the year 2016-17. 

Jayant Sinha: Jayant Sinha studied Btech Electrical Engineering at IIT Delhi in 1985. After completing MBA and MS from Havard Business School and the University of Pennsylvania respectively. He worked as an investment Banker and consultant before 2014 after which he joined politics. Hazaribagh's seat is represented by him in the Lok Sabha. he has also held the civil aviation minister position and Minister of State Finance under the NDA Government. 

Padmasree Warrior: She has completed her Btech in the year 1982. She studied BTech Chemical Engineering.  Her first job was at Motorola, in 1984 where she worked as a research scientist. Padmasree was made CTO in the year 2003. post that she worked as the CTO and senior Vice president of president of engineering Cisco systems in 2007. Currently, she works as a board member of Cornershop, GAP Inc. and Microsoft.
