About CAT Percentile
The CAT exam is one of the most competitive MBA entrance exams in India. The CAT percentile is referred to as the total percentage of candidates who scored equal to or less than a particular individual. It is a standardized score that indicates a candidate’s position relative to all other candidates appearing for the exam. For example, A candidate scores an 80 percentile in the CAT means that he/she is ahead of 80% of the other candidates appearing for the exam. It is a related score that shows the percentage of candidates behind you.

CAT CUT-OFFS FOR SURE SHOT CALL FROM IIM
The below-mentioned table is all for the General Category:
IIM Ahmedabad – IIM Ahmedabad selected approximately 1500 candidates last year by creating a merit list which comprises of category, CAT cut-off, and academic profile of the candidate. The minimum cut-off was 80.75 percentile.
IIM Bangalore- IIM Bangalore gives 55% weightage to the CAT score and 45% weightage to the academic profile of the candidate. The minimum cut-off was 90% as of last year at which the call letter was sent.
IIM Calcutta: IIM Calcutta has sent call letters to more than 2000 candidates for the final selection phase. As gives around 56% weightage to the CAT score and 44% is given to the category and academic profile.
IIM Lucknow: Last year IIM Lucknow sent call letters to 8649 candidates last year. Out of these, 3815 candidates were selected for the PG program and the rest were selected for the PGP-SM program in different categories. Minimum percentage was 90%.
