IIM Calcutta Selection Criteria for MBA Batch 2025-2027

Admission to IIM Calcutta for the 2025-2027 MBA batch will be done through a two-stage process: short-listing on the basis of CAT scores, academic record and WAT-PI. The admission criteria for IIM Calcutta's MBA batch 2025-2027 follow the same pattern as every year. As per IIM Calcutta Admission Criteria 2025, the cut-off for CAT 2024 from the General Category is 85 percent. Out of the total 56 WAT and PI points assigned to final selection in MBA, CAT exam score amounts to 56 points toward PI shortlisting and further to 30 points on final selection.  

 

Academic Eligibility Criteria

 As per policy of admission, candidates at graduate or equivalent level must score 50% or equivalent for general category candidates with reduced 45% for reserved and for people with Disability.

The WAT-PI round for IIM Calcutta is to be done in February 2025 with an online medium. Candidates go short-listed about a week or so after CAT 2024 results get declared. Final CAT percentiles for IIM Calcutta are likely to lie between 98 and 99%.

 

IIM Calcutta Admission Procedure 2025-2027

There are three rounds for selection and the intake through IIM Calcutta admissions.

1. PI Shortlisting: Candidates are shortlisted with the help of CAT score.

2. Conduct of PI: PI conducted either online or at other locations. 

3. Calculation of final composite score: Candidates are judged through various parameters including CAT score, PI performance, academic history, work experience, and diversity. Based on such factors, composite scores are calculated, and admission calls are given to the students selected.

 

WAT-PI Shortlisting Process

Prior to the PI form, students will undergo shortlisting for MBA 2025. The students who have applied in CAT 2024 for IIM Calcutta and crossed the cut-offs are eligible for participating in the WAT-PI round.

The PI form is available from the website of IIM Calcutta with CAT 2024 login credentials.

 

Steps to Register for WAT-PI

1. Open IIM Calcutta official website.

2. Tap on the "MBA 2025-27 PI Shortlist" link.

3. Log-in with CAT 2024 User ID and Email Id

4. Fill out the PI form appropriately furnishing all the asked details

Shortlisted candidates will be issued a list of interview schedules via mail.

 

IIM Calcutta Selection Criteria 2025: Qualifying CAT Cut Off

These are, strictly speaking, minimum CAT cut-offs on the basis of which students were shortlisted. Cut-offs would be different in the course of the short-listing process, and it should be noted that cut-offs for IIM Calcutta will be higher in their final list, which ranges around 98-100 for each category.

IIM Calcutta Composite Score cut-off will be declared post PI round. The candidates would be selected on the basis of points scored across several parameters like Class 10 marks, Class 12 marks, graduation score, WAT/PI performance, work experience, and stream/gender diversity.
