IGNOU B. Ed. Entrance Exam 2025: Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible to apply for the exam, candidates must have secured a minimum of 50 percent marks in their graduation or post-graduation in Science/Social Science/Commerce/Humanities. Candidates with a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) or Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) degree with a specialization in Science and Mathematics and 55 percent aggregate marks are also eligible to apply.

However, candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC)/Scheduled Tribe (ST)/Other Backward Class (OBC) - non-creamy layer/Persons with Disability (PwD) categories are given a relaxation of five percent marks.

In addition to the above, candidates must also belong to one of the following categories:

• Trained in-service teachers in elementary education
• Completion of a teacher education program recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) through the face-to-face mode.
