The CISCE (Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations), has scheduled the ICSE Class 10 Board Exams 2025 to be conducted from 18th February to 27th March 2025.

ICSE Class 10 Board Exam Day Guidelines

The Class 10 exams 2025 will start with English Language - English Paper 1. The exam will start at 11 AM and last for two hours. Candidates sitting for the examination must adhere to a set of instructions as laid down by the council. These are as follows:

  • The candidates should compulsorily be seated in the Examination Hall/Room half an hour prior to the time scheduled for the commencement of the examination in the subject.
  • The candidates shall not be permitted to exit the Examination Hall/Room until the completion of the paper.
  • In case the questions make it clear that a map or any other stationery was also to have been provided to the candidate, the same should be brought to the notice of the Supervising Examiner at once.
  • The candidates should read with great care any general instruction, if any, provided on the first page of a question paper, for instance, about how many questions have to be attempted, etc.
  • The candidates are directed to answer only that many questions as specified in the question paper.
  • Candidates are required to write their Unique ID (Unique Identification Number), Index Number and Subject on the top-sheet of the Main Answer Booklet in clear handwriting in the space provided. The same should also be written on the front sheet of each continuation booklet utilized, and also on loose maps, graph papers, etc.
  • All entries in the Answer Booklet must be made in Black/Blue ink ONLY.
  • At the top-sheet of the Main Answer Booklet, candidates should place their signature in the space allotted for the purpose. Candidates should never scribble anywhere at the top-sheet.
  • Candidates must write on both sides of every sheet in the Answer Booklet except where the question paper rubric forbids them to do so. When writing, in the answer booklet, candidates must leave a margin at both the right-hand and the left-hand edges. They must start the answer to every distinct part of a question on a new line.
  • Candidates must write the question number clearly in the left-hand margin at the start of each answer. They must not reproduce the question. They must also take care to use the same numbering system as that employed in the question paper.
  • Candidates must leave a line after each answer.
  • Candidates should recall that neatness of handwriting and spelling will be taken into account. Candidates are allowed to write answers using a pen with Black/Blue ink, but the use of pencils is only acceptable for diagrams. Candidates are free to bring mathematical and drawing equipment and colour pencils for subjects for which they are required.
  • Use of any electronic equipment, hand, desk or other forms of calculating machines are not allowed.
  • Apart from the time specified in the timetable, for paper writing, 15 minutes time is allotted for reading the questions.
  • The questions must be read very carefully by the candidates. Time should not be wasted in writing data that is not required because no marks will be given for that.
  • Candidates should not take much time for answering one or two questions.
  • The continuation booklets will be provided on demand only after the candidates have finished writing on all pages of the Answer Booklet/continuation booklet provided.
  • Candidates must attach all unused/used continuation booklets to the Main Answer Booklet.
  • Candidates are required to do all working including rough work, on the same sheet as the remaining of the answer.
  • Once the allotted time for the writing of the examination has ended, candidates have to stack their answer scripts in SEQUENTIAL ORDER, FIRST PAGE ON THE TOP, etc.
  • They should ensure that Main Answer Booklet/ Continuation Booklet/Graph/ Map contain correct UID (Unique Identification Number), Index Number and Subject Paper written. The answer sheets are to be stapled at the left-top corner and submit in unfolded form.
