How to prepare for AP EAMCET?

Andhra Pradesh Engineering Agricultural and Medical Common Entrance Test commonly called as AP EAMCET is a state level entrance examination conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada for admissions in Engineering and Agriculture courses offered by the government and private colleges located in the state of Andhra Pradesh. AP EAMCET 2018 Entrance Examination is scheduled to be conducted between April 22 to April 26, 2018. Hardly a month time is left for preparations and the competition level is very tough because every year numerous candidates apply for this entrance examination and the results depend entirely on candidate's performance in this examination.

AP EAMCET 2018- Preparation Tips

AP EAMCET 2018 will be conducted in online i.e. computer-based mode. The examination will be carried out in two sessions- the morning session (10AM to 1PM) and afternoon session (2:30PM to 5:30PM). The question paper will comprise of total 160 questions from Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry in the objective-type pattern i.e. each question will contain 4 options and the candidate is required to mark the correct answer. The Mathematics paper will be for 80 marks and will include 80 questions. Physics and Chemistry paper will be for 40 marks each and will include 40-40 questions. The candidate will be provided with one mark for each correct answer and there is no negative marking provision for this entrance examination

Here are few tips which will surely help the candidates in qualifying this entrance examination:

  1. Understanding the Syllabus: The candidate must know the detailed syllabus of all three subjects i.e. Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Everyone has some favorite topics in each subject and few would be those which you try to avoid. Understand the syllabus of AP EAMCET 2018 and figure out the weightage of each topic irrespective of the fact that whether it is your favorite topic or not.
  2. Create a timetable: After understanding syllabus, plan your timetable. While planning timetable analyze the topics where you need to put more efforts. While planning also keep the weightage of topics in your mind. Don't ignore the topics with high weightage. Plan the timetable which can be executed and religiously put efforts to follow it. You can always take a short break of 10 minutes between every 1-2 hours of studies.
  3. Formulae: All the three subjects (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics) requires too many engagements with formulae. Don't get stuck in those formulas. Rather you can make separate sheets for formulas and prefer writing them on flash cards. Keep these cards easily accessible and try to mug them up!
  4. Mock Test and Previous year question papers: Try to solve the mock test and previous year question papers in the given time. This will provide a detailed idea about examination pattern and the time you spend with each question. Analyze mistakes or problems you faced while writing the paper and put efforts to overcome them.
