PMSS 2025: The Prime Minister Scholarship Scheme (PMSS) is a program launched by the Kendriya Sainik Board Secretariat under the Department of Ex-Servicemen Welfare, Ministry of Defence, Government of India.

PM Scholarship 2025 : Application Process
In order to apply for the PM Scholarship candidates must follow these steps: Online applications are required offline applications are not accepted. - Click on the Login button under the One Time Registration (OTR) area.
- On the Register tab, click to proceed.

- Type in your mobile number and choose Get OTP.
- Enter the Captcha Code and the OTP you received then click Verify to proceed.
- Click the Get OTP option after entering your Aadhaar number which can be either your parents or students. Click Verify once you have received the OTP.
- You'll be taken to a page where you can enter your personal details.
- After entering the necessary information including the mothers and fathers names and email address click the Finish button.
- Students will receive a registration number after registering. Note: Students need to download the OTR mobile application for face authentication in order to finish the OTR process. This is a temporary registration number.

PM Scholarship 2025: Required Documents

- The student's Aadhaar card.
- Matriculation certificate to confirm the date of birth.
- ZSB or Coast Guard Headquarters must properly fill out and sign the certificate for ex-servicemen or ex-coast guards as per Annexure-1.
- Authentic certificate that has been accurately filled out and signed by the Deputy.
- Registrar Associate Dean Dean Vice Principal and Vice Chancellor. Registrar Director or Deputy Director of the organization according to Annexure 2.
- Bank certificate attesting to the connection between the students bank account and Aadhaar card as per Annexure-3.
- Certificate of minimum educational qualification (MEQ) such as a diploma three-year graduation or Class 12 grades.
- The bank's IFS code account number and students name are prominently displayed on the first page of the passbook (ideally from PNB or SBI).
- PPO/ESM identity card for Category 6, and the following 6 supporting documents for Categories 1 to 5 :
- Category 1 : Part II order for the Army; general form
- Category 5: Award certificate along with gazette notification
- Category 6: Original PPO or ESM identity card (to be scanned and uploaded)
PM Scholarship 2025: Selection Criteria
The selection of candidates will be determined by their compliance with the designated eligibility requirements. Candidates are given priority in the following order during the selection process.
- Category 1: Wife and ward of ESM/former Coast Guard members killed in action.
- Category 2: Wards of ESM/former Coast Guard members who were discharged from service while disabled in action because of disabilities related to the Coast Guard or the military.
- Category 3: Widows and wards of ESM/former Coast Guard members who died while serving for military or Coast Guard-related reasons.
- Category 4: ESM and former Coast Guard wards have disabilities related to their military or Coast Guard duties and were disabled during their service.
- Category 5: Widows and wards of former Coast Guard and ESM personnel who have been honored for their gallantry.
- Category 6: ESM/ex-coast guard wards and widows (PBOR only). Eligibility for the PM Scholarship for dual degree integrated courses requires that students finish their first two years of non-professional coursework without failing repeating or taking a break (RA).
- Students will no longer be eligible for a scholarship if they fail all subjects in the first two years on their first try or within the allotted time.
PM Scholarship 2025: Renewal Process
Upon the release of the merit list the students who were chosen for the PM Scholarship will receive the first installment. Students must submit a renewal application at the end of each academic year in order to be eligible for further payments. Similar to the initial application the renewal must be completed online. PM Scholarship 2025 Benefits
A total of 2000 qualified applicants receive benefits each year from the PM Scholarship Scheme with equal numbers of scholarships given to boys and girls. The scholarship is awarded once a year and is worth ₹3000 for female recipients and ₹2500 for male recipients each month. The scholarship can last anywhere from one to five years depending on how long the course is. Starting in 2019–20 the program will also provide 500 additional scholarships for the children of State Police officers who have lost their lives in terrorist attacks or Naxal attacks 250 of which will be awarded to boys and 250 to girls.
