How to Calculate GATE Score?
- For 65 questions, GATE marks are computed out of 100.
- In the GATE exam, each right response is worth 1 or 2 marks.
- For each wrong response in multiple-choice questions, either 1/3 or 2/3 of the total marks are deducted.

What is GATE Score Normalization?
The method of normalising GATE marks has been developed by the authorities in order to be fair to all candidates. The following parts have mentioned the formula and its justification.

GATE Cutoff 2024
Based on the results of the candidates, the GATE Cutoff is issued.
- After each round of CCMT counselling, the participating IITs release their own cut off lists, whereas NITs release their cut off in the form of the opening and closing rank.
- It should be noted, nevertheless, that some of these institutes admit students depending on their GATE scores. The candidates must research the preferred institute and learn about its hiring practises.

GATE Scorecard 2025
The GATE Scorecard will be made accessible on the GATE website. Following the announcement of the results, the qualified applicants will be able to get their GATE scorecard. The official notification from GATE states that the GATE result 2025 will be released on March 19, 2025. After the result date, the scorecard is valid for three years. From March 19 to May 31, 2025, the GATE scorecard will be available on the official website without charge. Candidates who download their scorecard after May 31 will have to pay INR 500 for each paper. Candidates won't receive a scorecard after January 1, 2026.
