GATE Syllabus 2023 - IIT Kanpur has released GATE Exam Syllabus for all the papers of 29 papers of GATE on its official website gate.iitk.ac.in. The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT Kanpur) is the organizing institute of GATE Exam 2023. Candidates willing to take the exam will now be able to download the GATE Syllabus 2023 PDF for CSE, EEE, CE, CS, and the other 25 GATE Papers by visiting the GATE Official Website. There are no new changes that have been introduced in GATE 2023 Syllabus. The syllabus of GATE exam can be divided into two parts namely General Aptitude (GA), and Core Discipline. The General Aptitude section will remain common in all the GATE 2023 Syllabus PDFs and carries a weightage of 15% of the total marks. The remaining 85% weightage is for topics from Core Discipline. GATE 2023 will be conducted on 4, 5, 11, and 12 February 2023. 

Candidates can now download GATE Syllabus PDF for each of the GATE Papers available on the gate official website.

IIT Kanpur will conduct GATE 2023 Exam on 4th, 5th, 11th, and 12th February 2023. GATE Exam is conducted online as a computer-based test and the GATE Exam Duration is 3 hours. The question paper for GATE Exam consists of 65 Multiple Choice Questions, NATs and/or MSQs carrying 1 or 2 marks each question.

GATE Admit Card is scheduled to be released on 9 January 2023. Download at gate.iitk.ac.in.  

What is the Syllabus for GATE Examination?

GATE 2023 is conducted jointly by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore and the seven IITs i.e. IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, and IIT Roorkee. The GATE Exam is conducted on the behalf of the National Coordination Board (NCB) – GATE, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India.

GATE 2023 Syllabus for CSE

  • GATE Syllabus for CSE has been divided into three sections namely General Aptitude, Engineering Mathematics and Core Discipline.
  • General Aptitude section carries 15 marks, while Engineering Mathematics about 13 marks and 72 marks for the topics which are in core discipline.

The table given below gives the weightage of GATE CSE Syllabus important topics from the last year. Interested candidates can refer to the table mentioned below in order to know the expected number of questions that can come from each topic:
