COAP 2024: IIT Kanpur has started with the registration process for COAP 2024, on the official website along with releasing the information brochure for COAP 2024. There will be five main rounds and five additional rounds. The main rounds have started and will be concluded on June 10. The first round commenced on May 13 and ended on May 15. Candidates can refer to this article and page for a complete schedule of the GATE COAP rounds and the way forward.

The full form of COAP is Common Offer Acceptance Portal, which is a GATE Counselling process for admissions to various participating IITs. With the GATE Scores, the candidates can access admission or job offers by registering at COAP from all participating institutes where they applied for MTech Jobs or admissions. Candidates from the years 2022-2024 can register on the portal. However, it must be noted that the candidates who registered on COAP in the year 2022 and 2023, will not be applicable. They will have to register again on the portal.

Candidates must note that COAP is not an application portal for admission to MTech in participating institutes. For admission, candidates should apply separately to the institute. COAP is just the portal where IITs and PSUs upload their offers based on the selection criteria. However, before applying for admission to MTech courses in GATE participating institutes, candidates must register on COAP as it is mandatory to provide the COAP Registration Number while applying to the respective IIT.
