IIT Roorkee is conducting the GATE 2025 exam on February 1, 2, 15, and 16, 2025. The exam is conducted for 30 papers. The GATE 2025 test papers will be in English and entirely of the objective type.
Candidates who have registered for the exam and are yet to appear in GATE 2025 on February 15 and 16, 2025 must be thoroughly aware of the structure of GATE question paper. Candidates can check the GATE 2025 question papers to understand the types of questions asked in the exam, topics with most weightage and the difficulty level of the exam.
IIT Roorkee has released the official test papers for the exam that students can solve to secure a good GATE score.
Note* A candidate is allowed to appear either in ONE or UP TO TWO test papers.
GATE 2025 Test Papers PDF Download
Candidates can download the GATE test papers 2025 from the table given below. They must choose the test paper for the GATE paper code they will be appearing for on February 15 & 16, 2025.
Before appearing in the exam, the candidates must solve previous year question papers of GATE exam along with the official test paper released on the GATE 2025 official website - gate2025.iitr.ac.in.
GATE Previous Year Question Paper

The types of questions included in the GATE question paper are Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), Multiple Select Questions (MSQ), and Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions. In MCQs, only one of the four options will be correct; in MSQs, candidates can select more than one option to answer; and in NAT questions, candidates will have to enter their answer using the virtual keyboard on their screens.

Marking Scheme
Questions carry 1 mark or 2 marks
Negative Marking
For a wrong answer chosen in an MCQ, there will be negative marking.
For a 1-mark MCQ, 1/3 mark will be deducted for a wrong answer.
For a 2-mark MCQ, 2/3 mark will be deducted for a wrong answer.
There is no negative marking for wrong answer(s) to MSQ or NAT questions.
There is no partial marking in MSQ.
