How to Calculate GATE Score Using the GATE Answer Key?
The examination conducting authority will release the GATE answer key with GATE response sheet. The GATE response sheet will consist of answers marked by candidates in the GATE exam while the answer key consists of the correct answers. They can use the official GATE answer key PDF to calculate their GATE score.
There will be questions for 1 mark and 2 marks only. Candidates will be given marks as per the below mentioned GATE marking scheme:
- For every correct answer, +1 or +2 marks will be awarded depending on the marks that that particular question carries.
In case of incorrect answers:
- ⅓ marks will be deducted in case of 1 mark questions for every incorrect answer.
- ⅔ marks will be deducted in case of 2 mark questions for every incorrect answer.
