Students applying in the September intake are ahead by 4-5 months of the students of the other two intakes. Since most of the activities academically and non-academically begin during the fall, this season's intake gives them an added advantage of taking the leadership role in extracurricular activities. Eminent professors do not take winter and spring intakes to assist them in academic research, giving fall intake students an upper hand in making their careers in the research field.  Additionally, students get ample time to settle in the academic environment of Canada.
