The Central Excise Inspector Department is one of the most powerful and influential positions in the government. An Income Tax Inspector classified as a Group “B” Non-gazetted post is one of the most prestigious positions under SSC CGL. Ministries and job locations play a crucial role in deciding the Excise Inspector's salary and job profile.
The SSC CGL Excise Inspector position is one of the most prestigious positions and offers a competitive pay scale. Along with basic pay other allowances and financial benefits are also given to the employees.
Income tax inspectors' base pay ranges from Rs 44,900 to Rs 1,42,900 per month. Additionally, they receive Rs 4,600 in grade pay annually which is given along with the allowances and other benefits. As this position is prestigious, the government offers various benefits like medical and pensions.
