Field Duties: If you’re aligned with some field work then the main duty is to monitor the seal products and goods that are shipped overseas. Job inspectors also participate in capturing illegal activities and also coordinating with the process’s new or established producers.

Administrative Job: It involves checking the official records, completing the necessary documentation, and recording the necessary files. 

SSC CGL Excise Inspector Salary

The SSC CGL Excise Inspector position is one of the most prestigious positions and offers a competitive pay scale. Along with basic pay other allowances and financial benefits are also given to the employees. 

Income tax inspectors' base pay ranges from Rs 44,900 to Rs 1,42,900 per month. Additionally, they receive Rs 4,600 in grade pay annually which is given along with the allowances and other benefits. As this position is prestigious, the government offers various benefits like medical and pensions.

SSC CGL Excise Inspector Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria can vary for different positions. The candidates have to qualify for the below mentioned three parameters:
