The University of Delhi is popularly known as Delhi University or DU. DU is a public central university located in New Delhi, India , it was established in 1922 as a teaching , residential University by the Act of Central Legislative Assembly. The Delhi University is the role model and trendsetter of strong commitment to excellence in teaching and research for other universities. The president of India is the Visitor , the Vice President is the Chancellor and the Chief Justice of India is the Pro- Chancellor of the University.

Step 4 : Seat Allocation
The seat allocation is done on the basis of the following criteria:
- program - based merit list.
- Social Category UR/OBC-NCL/EWS/SC/ST/PwBD
- Availability of seats.
Step 5 : Blocking of Seats and Final Admission
- The candidate can accept only one allocated seat.
- Once the candidate accepts the allocated seat, the concerned department /center/ college will approve the seat allotment, checking the eligibility and documentation of the candidate.
- Once the approval comes from the concerned department /center/ college the candidate can then pay the admission fee and confirm the admission.
