Latest updates at Delhi University LLB:  DU LLB admission 2024 is now open on the basis of CUET PG results. The registration deadline is 25th May, 2024. For admission to all departments and affiliated colleges, CUET PG qualified candidates can register online at pgadmission.uod.ac.in, the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS PG) portal at DU. For candidates in the UR/OBC-NCL/EWS category, the registration fee is INR 250; for those in the SC/ST/PwBD category, it is INR 100.

About DU LLB 2024

The University of Delhi offers a three-year postgraduate program called LL.B. Admission to the LL.B. program is determined solely by a student's performance on the annual entrance exam conducted by the University of Delhi. Under DU, Campus Law Center, Law Center-1, and Law Center-2 are the providers of this course. The University of Delhi offers online admission for LLB programs, and candidates must take the university-conducted entrance exam in order to be selected in the end. The University of Delhi uses the CUET PG exam to determine who gets admitted to its LLB program. 

DU LLB Course Highlights

  • DU offers a full-time LLB course that can be accessed offline only. 
  • The 3 years that make up the LLB program are further divided into 6 terms.
  • The language of instruction for the LLB program is English.
  • Each term, LLB students are required to study five subjects and pass thirty subjects with a minimum grade of 45%.
  • In the fifth term, students must complete an internship and a moot court exercise.

DU LLB Eligibility for Admission

Course Requirements -

  • A graduate or postgraduate degree from the University of Delhi, or from any other university in India or abroad that the University of Delhi deems comparable.
  • Applicants who pass the qualifying degree exam are qualified to take the LL.B. Entrance Exam.
  • A candidate who has completed an LL.B. program at any university is not eligible to be admitted.
  • A candidate listed on the LL.B. rolls or a former student of any university is not eligible to enroll in the course unless their admission is revoked.

Marks Requirements -

  • Candidates from the Unreserved Category and the EWS Category must receive at least 50% of the possible points in the qualifying degree exam, or an equivalent grade point total.
  • Candidates in the OBC, CW, or PwD categories must have received at least 45% of the possible points in the qualifying degree exam, or an equivalent grade point total.
  • Candidates belonging to the SC/ST Category must receive at least 40% of the possible points in the qualifying degree exam, or an equivalent grade point total.
  • A graduate or postgraduate degree in any field with at least 50% of the required credits is required of candidates. 
  • The basic eligibility requirements are loosened for candidates who identify as OBC, PH, CW, and SC/ST by 5% and 10%, respectively.

DU LL.B. Entrance Test -

  • The Post Graduate Admissions (du.ac.in) website will announce the locations and dates of the 2022 LL.B. Entrance Test, which will be conducted online. The test will last for two hours.
  • One question paper with one hundred objective-style questions and multiple-choice answers covering English language comprehension, analytical abilities, legal awareness & aptitude, and general knowledge will make up the test paper.
  • The entrance exam will be administered in English.
  • There will be four marks for each question. Four marks will be given for each right response, and one mark will be taken away for each wrong response. If an answer is not provided to a question, no points will be given or taken away.
  • The general guidelines for candidates will be available on the university website at a later time.

DU LLB Admission Criteria

The Common University Entrance Test (CUET PG), administered by NTA, is the basis for admission to DU LLB programs. Those who pass the entrance exam must register on the admissions portal of Delhi University. Candidates must fill out their college and department preferences on Delhi University's Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS PG) portal in order to receive a provisional seat assignment. Delhi University will publish a merit list for the final selection, which will be determined by the following criteria: academic qualifications, CUET PG scores, college and department preferences, seat availability, reservation requirements, and other factors.

DU LLB Application Process -

There is an online application process available for DU LLB admission. To apply, take the following actions:

  • Go to the DU official website and select the "PG Admission Portal" link.
  • Next, register by giving a few basic details about yourself.
  • Log in and complete the application by providing all the required academic and personal information.
  • Upload the necessary files. After that, one can carry out.
  • Finally, use a debit card, credit card, or net banking to pay the application fees, which are Rs. 750 (UR/OBC) or Rs. 300 (SC/ST/PwD).

  • Admission ticket of CUET PG
  • Age certificate (High school/Matriculation)
  • Character certificate
  • Degree certificate
  • Marksheet of the qualifying degree exam
  • Reservation certificate (if any)

DU LLB Scholarship

Based on merit, DU offers several scholarships to LLB students. It also offered worthy and in need students financial aid. Additionally, students can apply for scholarships that the federal and state governments offer. Among the scholarships are:

  • Students who achieve the highest marks in the LL.B. term exams, with the exception of the sixth term, will be awarded the Sohan Lal Sethi Memorial Scholarship, which is worth Rs. 25,000.
  • Vice Chancellor's Funds for Students- Financial aid given to worthy students from sections with lower economic standing.
