Delhi University Admission 2024 Overview

Admission to Delhi University is completely based on the qualifying scores in the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) conducted by NTA. On 13th April 2024, the National Test Agency (NTA) released the final results of CUET-PG. Students who score the qualifying marks in the CUET are eligible for DU registration through Delhi University's Common Seat Allocation process. 

Delhi University offers Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Doctorate, and Certificate courses through its main campus and 90+ affiliated colleges. For DU UG admissions, the university accepts CUET-UG scores. The CUET-UG exam is scheduled for 15 May 2024-31 May 2024. Additionally, Delhi University admission to engineering, law, and medical courses is based on national-level exams and regulations governed by regulatory bodies such as the Medical Council of India (MCI), All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), Bar Council of India (BCI), National Council of Teacher Education (NCTE), Dental Council of India (DCI), etc.

DU Admission: Minimum Eligibility

For Admission to Delhi University, candidates have to meet the minimum eligibility criteria. For UG courses, students must have completed 10+2 with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in a relevant field. For Delhi University PG admission, students must have completed graduation in the relevant field from a recognized university/institute. Furthermore, admission to certain DU courses that are governed by regulations of specific regulatory bodies are based on minimum eligibility criteria specified by the concerned body, for example: for Law courses, DU admissions will be based on regulations laid down by the Bar Council of India.

DU Admission: Selection Criteria

DU Admission process for various UG and PG courses depends on the candidate's qualifying scores in the relevant national and state-level exams. Once the cutoff is out, students who clear the DU cutoff can proceed with DU registration through Delhi University’s Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) portal for seat allocation. DU Admission: Application Process

For admission to Delhi University, candidates must register for the CUET on the NTA’s official website. Online applications for DU PG course admission are available on Delhi University's official website. 

Applicants can follow the steps given below to complete the DU admission process:

Step 1: Applicants must visit the DU website and select the appropriate gateway.

Step 2: Register with your email address and phone number.

Step 3: Applicants can access the application form after getting the credentials through email.

Step 4: They must enter their educational, personal, and other required information.

Step 5: Choose your course(s) carefully and submit your application together with application fees and scanned copies of your documentation.

Step 6: In the case of PG / M.Phil / PhD admissions, it is recommended that applicants choose both the entrance and merit alternatives.

Step 7: Applicants must use a unique email address for each application. If the applicant wishes to apply for more than one course, he or she must re-register.

Step 8: It is necessary to save a copy of the application form for future reference.
