What is a Normalized Score in CUET 2025?

The normalization of CUET Score is defined as calculating students’ score when the exam is conducted in multiple shifts. The difficulty level of each question paper across shifts varies and hence the allocation of marks needs to be adjusted before releasing the final CUET Scorecard. The examination conducting body, NTA intends to conduct the exam for each subject in a single shift, hence eliminating the need for the CUET normalization process for these subjects. However, if some papers are being conducted in multiple shifts, there comes the need of an equi-percentile method for normalization.
