The  CBSE has announced the CTET cut-off marks for 2024 on its official website. The CTET Cut Off marks are published category-wise and to qualify for the CTET examination they must score minimum passing marks to fall into the passing category.

CTET CUTOFF 2024

The CTET examination consists of two papers, both question paper holds 150 multiple-choice questions, one mark for each question.  According to the CBSE passing criteria, candidates belonging to the general category are required to score a minimum of 60% marks to qualify for the CTET exam. Whereas for reserved category candidates the minimum passing score is 55%.

CTET Passing Marks for Paper 1

Applicants who score the required passing marks in the CTET exam are considered qualified for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test. The CTET exam consists of two papers: Paper 1 and Paper 2. Paper 1 is for candidates who want to teach students from grades 1-5, and Paper 2 is for candidates who want to teach students from 6-8. To be suitable for the post, candidates must score 90 out of 150 marks to qualify for the CTET Exam. whereas for reserved category applicants (SC, ST, and OBC) must obtain a minimum score of 82 marks.

CTET Passing Marks for Paper 2

CBSE has kept the same passing marks criteria for both Paper 1 and Paper 2, which means General category candidates are required to score 60 percentage marks or higher to pass the exam, and reserved category applicants need 55 percent or higher marks.

The passing marks for CTET 224  are different for different category candidates. For General category applicants, the passing criteria for general category applicants is 90 out of 150 (60%). Whereas for reserved category (OBC/SC/ST) it is 82 out of 150 (55%).

CTET Qualifying Marks Category-Wise

Candidates belonging to the General category who score 60% marks in the CTET exam will not be counted as qualified candidates. Also, there is a positive thing about this examination for applicants there is no negative marking for any wrong attempted question. Factors Affecting CTET Cut-Off 2024

Numerous factors will choose the cut-off of any exam. Candidates who want to appear for this exam must understand all these factors as it would help them plan their preparation required to clear the examination. The two  important factors affecting the CTET Cut-Off are mentioned below:

  • First is the complexity level of the exam: If the examination level is tough then cut-offs are usually low, but if the examination level is easy the cutoff ranks would be high, 
  • Second, the number of candidates clearing the exam.

Steps to Check CTET Passing Marks 2024 

Candidates who have appeared for the CTET examination can check their cutoff with their scoreboards. The steps how to check their marks is mentioned below:

  • Candidates need to visit the official CTET exam webpage.
  • A new page will display on the screen, clock on the “CTET Result 2024” link.
  • The applicants need to enter their roll number and other details.
  • Then submit the necessary details 
  • The CTET cut-off score will appear for the candidates also with their CTET Results and Qualification Status.

CTET Score Card 2024

Applicants who have passed the CTET Examination 2024 can easily get their CTET scorecard board from the official website or the Digilocker account. The CTET scorecard 2024 is transferred straight from the CBSE board to each qualified candidate’s DigiLocker account.

Note: The candidate will not be given a printed copy of their CTET Score Card or CTET Certificate 2024.

Students can access their DigiLicker accounts, by entering their assigned credentials allotted by CBSE on their registered mobile number. The steps to acute their Score Card are mentioned below:

Step 1: Candidates need to go to their Digi Locker or download the DigiLocker app.
Step 2: Candidates need to sign in to their DigiLocker account using their registered mobile number and Aadhar number.
Step 3: Then click on the “Issued Documents” tab.
Step 4: Below the “Education” category, the candidate will find their CTET Scorecard.
Step 5: Then, Click on the Download button to download the scorecard.
