CTET Eligibility Criteria

Now that we already know that CTET stands for Central Teacher Eligibility Test, students willing to take the exam must be aware of its other factors such as CTET Eligibility Criteria, CTET Syllabus, CTET Admission Process, etc. Aspirants who satisfy the CTET Eligibility Criteria will be considered eligible to appear in the Teacher Eligibility Test. The competent authority has fixed the minimum age limit and minimum educational qualification. Aspirants who do not qualify the CTET eligibility criteria will not be considered for the selection process.

CTET Age Limit

The board has not prescribed any CTET age limit to appear for the examination. This means candidates who fulfill the educational qualification are allowed to participate in the entrance exam. 

CTET Educational Qualification

The CTET Educational Qualification has been determined for Primary and Elementary teachers. The minimum educational criteria for CTET are qualified class 12th examination. Graduation degree with 40 per cent marks and has cleared or appearing in the final year exam of BEd, according to NCTE regulations.

Senior Secondary with a minimum of 50 per cent marks and has cleared or appeared in final year exam of 4 years duration Bachelor of Elementary Education.

CTET Selection Process

The selection procedure for the CTET is very simple it just contains a written examination which is qualifying in nature. There are two papers which a candidate has to qualify they are paper 1 and paper 2. The candidates will have to qualify the CTET written examination getting marks more than minimum qualifying marks to be eligible for the certificates. The examination will be held on the CTET exam date as mentioned in the CTET admit card

CTET Certificate

The candidates who will qualify the CTET exam will be issued the CTET certificate. The CTET certificate is issued in PDF format for the candidates who qualify for the minimum marks. The CTET certificate is released in online mode only and candidates need to download it from Digilocker official website. Previously, the CTET Certificate was valid for seven years whereas now, the certificate is lifelong. The certificate makes the candidate eligible to teach as a teacher in any primary or secondary school.
