CLAT 2024 Latest Updates:

  • CLAT Application Form 2024 has closed on November 10, 2023. The registration process for CLAT 2024 started on July 1, 2023. 
  • All the students who have successfully registered for the exam can download their CLAT 2024 admit card until December 3, 2023. 
  • CLAT Registration entails basic registration, application form completion, document uploading, and payment of application fees. 
  • The application fee for CLAT is INR 4000 for general candidates and INR 3500 for SC/ST and BPL candidates. 

What is CLAT?

CLAT is a national entrance exam administered by the Consortium of National Law Universities for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate programs offered by the 22 participating NLUs. CLAT 2023 Exam will be conducted in a pen and paper.

CLAT Eligibility Criteria 2024

Before completing the application form, candidates should ensure that they meet the CLAT 2024 eligibility criteria. A brief overview of the eligibility criteria is mentioned below.

  • UG CLAT Eligibility Criteria 2024 - Candidates must have passed Class 12 with at least 45% marks (40% for SC and ST candidates) from a recognized board or institute.
  • PG CLAT Eligibility Criteria 2024 - Candidates must have passed LLB (3-year LLB or 5-year LLB) with at least 50% marks (45% for SC and ST candidates) from a recognized university.

CLAT Qualifying Exam Details

In this section, enter the grades they received in classes 10 and 12. Regarding their qualifying CLAT exam, please fill out the following information

  • Qualifying Exam Name
  • Name of the Board or University
  • Passing Status (Appearing/Appeared/Passed)
  • Date of Passing (Month and Year)
  • Qualifying Exam Percentage (only for those who have passed the exam).

How to Fill CLAT Application Form 2024?

Candidates must first register themselves on the official CLAT 2024 website by providing accurate contact information as well as their personal information. Online Registration

  • Go to CLAT’s Official Website and register.
  • You will be taken to a registration page.
  • Select the "Register" option.
  • A registration form will appear, prompting you to enter registration information such as your name, phone number, and email address. Also choose and confirm a password for the candidate account.

Fill CLAT Application Form

  • After registering, candidates must login with their Mobile Number and Password.
  • Candidates must provide personal information, academic information, valid communication information, and other requested information.
  • Candidates must choose the course they want to pursue.
  • Candidates must choose their preferred CLAT Exam Centre after selecting a course. CLAT 2023 will be held in 82 test centers. Candidates can choose up to three exam centers based on their order of preference.

Before submitting the CLAT 2023 Application Form, candidates should have the following documents ready:

  • Email Id and Phone Number
  • Scanned Photograph
  • Scanned Signature

  • Class 10th mark sheet
  • Class 12th mark sheet
  • ID Proof- Aadhar Card/ Driving License/ PAN Card
  • Relevant Certificate (PwD or BPL Certificate) issued by a competent authority

Submission of the Application Form

Ensure that all sections of the CLAT application form are filled out completely and correctly. Once you are certain that the application is complete in every way - 

  • Accept the declaration form.
  • Choose the Third Party Communication Details Agreement and confirm your agreement.
  • Fill out the form and submit it.

Pay CLAT Application Fee

After submitting the application form, the candidate must pay the category-specific application or exam fee. Candidates can pay the application fee online using a debit/credit card or net banking. The application fee must be paid online.

CLAT 2024 Application Form Correction 

CLAT Application Form Correction 2024  window will open once the registration process is completed. However, candidates are only permitted to change a few details on their application forms. Candidates who register for the exam and pay the online examination fee will be able to correct their CLAT 2024 forms.

Candidates should be aware that they may be charged an additional fee if they make changes to their forms. The steps for CLAT Application Form Correction are as follows:

  • Visit the Consortium of NLUs' official website at consortiumofnlus.ac.in.
  • Select the link for application correction.
  • Log in with your mobile number and password.
  • Select Edit Application Form from the drop-down menu.
  • After making the necessary changes, click "Next."
  • When candidates are certain of the changes, check the declaration checkbox.
  • Click the Save button.

Steps to Recover the CLAT Login Password

Candidates who have forgotten their password for logging into their registered account can recover it by following the steps outlined below:

  • Visit the CLAT Consortium's official website
  • In the Login window, click the 'Forgot Password' link.
  • Enter the registered mobile number and press the 'Request OTP' button.
  • Enter the One-Time Password (OTP) that was sent to your mobile device.
  • Make a new password and try again.
