The Consortium of National Law University has released the CLAT 2025 Counselling schedule on the official website of CLAT i.e. consortiumofnlus.ac.in. The CLAT 2025 Counseling Registration window opened on December 9, 2024 and the last date to register for CLAT Counseling 2025 is December 20, 2024. Candidates who have qualified the Common Law Admission Test with a valid score can now register for CLAT Counseling 2025. They can use their login credentials to register for the counseling process. The candidates are also advised to pay the counseling registration fees and upload the required documents at the time of registration.

The CLAT 2025 Exam was conducted on December 1, 2024. Only those candidates who will complete the CLAT Counselling Registration 2025 before the deadline, will be able to participate in CLAT 2025 Counselling. The notification of CLAT 2025 has already been released by the consortium and the CLAT Counselling Dates are also available on the official website.
The counseling process of CLAT 2025 will be conducted in an online mode on the official website of consortium i.e. consortiumofnlus.ac.in. There are five rounds in which the CLAT 2025 Council Process will be conducted. The CLAT Counselling Process consists of various stages such as registration, publishing of the merit list, and then seat allotment as per the preferences marked by candidates at the time of registration. Steps in CLAT Counselling Process
CLAT 2025 Result Declaration
- The Consortium declared the CLAT 2025 Result on December 7, 2024.
CLAT 2025 Counselling Registration Window
- The candidates with a valid score in CLAT 2025 Exam can now register for the counseling process. They can use their CLAT login credentials for CLAT 2025 Counselling Registration. They must also submit the NLU preference list 2025
Publication of CLAT 2025 Allotment List
- After the CLAT 2025 counseling registration window closes the examination conducting authorities will publish the NLU wise Glad 2025 allotment list this list will contain the details of the candidates who have been shortlisted for admission to analyze.
Freeze, Float, and Exit
- The shortlisted candidates will have to exercise one among three practices which are Freeze, Float and Exit options. Candidates who are happy with the seats allotted to them or those who have gotten their preferred NLU in the first round of counselling can choose to Freeze the option.
- On the other hand, the candidates who are not satisfied with their allotted seats or those who have not got their preferred law college and want to be considered for further admission process must choose the Float option.
- Candidates who no longer wish to be a part of this counseling process can choose the exit option. Candidates who do not choose any of the given 3 options will be considered to have left the counseling process and their candidature and registration fee will be forfeited.
Payment of University Fee
- During this step, the candidates are required to pay the university fee within the given deadline and complete their seat allotment.
Reporting and Document Verification
- The candidates are then required to report to their allotted NLU and complete the document verification formality along with the other formalities in the CLAT 2025 admission process
CLAT Counselling 2025 Invite List
All the eligible candidates will receive an SMS or Email from the Consortium of NLUs. This email or SMS will be an invitation for them to participate in the CLAT 2025 Counselling Process. All the candidates who have a valid score in CLAT 2025 can register for counseling of CLAT exam.
Candidates must also validate the invitation through their CLAT 2025 login account. The invited candidates must register for the process using their CLAT login credentials and make the payment of registration fee after uploading the required documents.
How to Register for CLAT Counselling 2025?
The consortium will send an invitation to candidates on their registered email address and mobile number. The invitation to register for CLAT 2025 Counselling will also be there in the CLAT account of candidates.
Steps to Register for CLAT 2025 Counselling:
- Visit the official website - consortiumofnlus.ac.in.
- Log in to the CLAT 2025 Account.
- Validate the invitation sent for CLAT Counselling 2025.
- Navigate to and click on the ‘Make Payment’ option.
- Provide the bank account details into which any kind of refunds can be processed.
- Process the payment of CLAT 2025 Counselling registration fees.
- After the successful payment, the CLAT 2025 Counselling Registration will be completed.

CLAT 2025 Counselling Fees
There are three types of fees that candidates must pay during the CLAT 2025 Counselling Registration. Below mentioned are the details of the CLAT Counselling Fees:
Refund of CLAT 2025 Counselling Fee
A refund of CLAT 2025 Counselling Fees is only applicable in the below mentioned circumstances:
- Candidates who were unable to secure a seat or who exercised the exit option will be eligible for a refund.
- Candidates who did not gain admission during the counselling process will receive a full refund.
- Candidates who choose the Exit option and reject their allotment will receive a refund after a processing fee is deducted.
- If the candidate is found to be ineligible for admission, the refund will be issued after some deductions.
CLAT 2025 Merit List
Each of the 22 NLUs will publish the first, second, and third lists of provisionally selected candidates separately. According to the most recent official update, the CLAT 2025 Merit List (1st) will be published on January 18, 2025. The CLAT Merit List of candidates presented by each NLU will include the information listed below.

The CLAT merit list by NLU has not yet been released. When the merit list is published, candidates can check it by following the steps outlined below:

How to Check CLAT 2025 Counseling and Seat Allotment Result?
Please follow the steps mentioned below to check the CLAT seat allotment result.
- Visit the official website of CLAT i.e. consortiumofnlus.ac.in.
- Enter the login credentials - mobile number and password.
- Navigate to and click on the ‘Login’ button.
- The screen displays the seat allotment result.
Note* Candidates must note that there are 3213 seats for students applying for UG programs and 1217 seats for students applying for PG programs. The candidates who have qualified CLAT 2025 exam will then be shortlisted for admission rounds after they successfully register themselves for the CLAT 2025 Counselling.
