UPSC released the CDS 2 application form on 15 May 2024 on its official website. Interested candidates can submit the application form maximum by 4th June 2024.

2024 Criteria for CDS age limit
The age limit for the CDS Exam 2024 mainly depends upon the entry plan and academy chosen by the candidate and the age limit for every CDS examination is calculated on 2nd January, which means that the candidate must meet the desired criteria of age limit by 2nd January 2024.

Indian Military Academy (IMA)
Candidates born between 2nd July 2001, and 1st July 2006.
Indian Naval Academy (INA)
Candidates born between 2nd July 2001, and 1st July 2006.
Air Force Academy (AFA)
Candidates aged between 20 to 24 years old as of 1st July 2025.
Officers Training Academy
(For both Men & Women)
Candidates born between 2nd July 2000, and 1st July 2006.

For IMA
“Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd July 2001 and not later than 1st July 2006 are only eligible”
For INA
“Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd July 2001 and not later than 1st July 2006 only are eligible.
For AFA
20 to 24 years as of 1st July 2025 i.e born not earlier than 2nd July 2001 & not later than 1st July 2005 (Upper age limit for candidates holding valid and current Commercial Pilot Licence issued by DGCA (India) is relaxable up to 26 years i.e. born not earlier than 2nd July 1999 and not later than 1st July 2005 only are eligible.
Note: Candidates below 25 years of age must be unmarried. Marriage is not permitted during training. Married candidates above 25 years of age are eligible to apply but during the training period they will neither be provided married accommodation nor can they live with family outside of the premises.
For OTA
(SSC Course for men) unmarried male candidates born earlier than 2nd July 2000 and not later than 1st July 2006 only are eligible.
For OTA
(SSC Women Non-Technical Course) Unmarried women, issueless widows who have not remarried, and issueless divorcees (in possession of divorce documents) who have not remarried are eligible. They should have been born not earlier than 2nd July 2000 and not later than 1st July 2006.
