- Find resistance using a meter bridge (standard resistor).
- Verify laws of combination of resistances (series/parallel) using a meter bridge.
- Determine resistance and figure of merit of a galvanometer.
- Convert a galvanometer to a voltmeter/ammeter and verify.
- Find frequency of AC mains using a sonometer.
Activities- Measure resistance and impedance of an inductor.
- Use a multimeter to check resistance, voltage, and current.
- Assemble a household circuit with bulbs, switches, and a power source.
- Study variation in potential drop with wire length.
- Correct components and draw a circuit diagram.
BExperiments- Find focal length of concave and convex mirrors/lenses.
- Determine angle of minimum deviation using a prism.
- Measure refractive index using a glass slab, liquid, or lens combinations.
- Draw I-V characteristic curves for a p-n junction diode.
Activities- Identify electronic components (diode, LED, etc.).
- Test unidirectional current flow using a multimeter.
- Observe light refraction and diffraction.
- Study image formation using convex lenses/concave mirrors.
- Obtain a specific focal length using a lens combination.
