Nationality

To be eligible for the Assistant Commandant examination, candidates must meet specific nationality requirements outlined in the UPSC CAPF Eligibility Criteria 2024:

  • Indian Citizenship: Candidates must be citizens of India. Bhutanese and Nepalese Citizens: Citizens of Bhutan and Nepal are also eligible to apply for the UPSC CAPF examination.

UPSC CAPF Age Limit

The lower age limit for the CAPF exam is 20 years and the upper age limit is less than 25 years. The age is calculated from August 1 of the exam year. For appearing in the UPSC CAPF exam 2024, the candidates must have been born not earlier than August 2, 1999, and not later than August 1, 2004. UPSC CAPF Educational Qualification 2024

To be eligible for UPSC CAPF exam, candidates must possess certain educational qualifications. Those who do not fulfill the educational qualifications criteria will refrain from applying for UPSC CAPF exam.

 

  • As per UPSC CAPF Eligibility Criteria, aspirants must possess a Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in any stream from a government-recognized university. The University must be incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India.
  • Other educational institutions formed by an Act of Parliament or declared to be Deemed University are also acceptable.
  • Those aspirants who possess technical and professional qualifications recognized by the Government as equivalent to the technical and professional degree would also be considered eligible to apply for UPSC CAPF exam.
  • Those aspirants, who have appeared in the degree qualifying examination and are waiting for their Result, can also apply for the exam. However, candidates must  produce proof of passing the examination after qualifying for the entrance test of UPSC CAPF.

 

UPSC CAPF Eligibility 2024: NCC ‘B’ or ‘C’ Certificates

The Central Government has decided to give bonus marks to the aspirants who hold the National Cadet Corps (NCC) Certificate in UPSC CAPF recruitment. Below are the NCC categories that are about to get the bonus marks:

  • Aspirants having an NCC ‘B’ certificate will get a bonus mark of 3% of the maximum marks.
  • Aspirants having an NCC ‘C’ certificate will get a bonus mark of 5% of the maximum marks.

UPSC CAPF Eligibility 2024: Marital Criteria

According to UPSC CAPF eligibility, there are no particular marital criteria to apply for UPSC CAPF exam. The official notification prescribed by the Union Public Service Commission also does not prescribe any special treatment for married or unmarried aspirants. If the aspirants meet all other CAPF eligibility criteria, they will be considered eligible for UPSC CAPF examination. Married and unmarried aspirants can apply for UPSC CAPF if they fulfill the age limit.

UPSC CAPF AC Number of Attempts

The UPSC has not specified the maximum number of attempts available to a candidate. However, there is an age limit set by the UPSC which means that the candidate can only apply within the age of 20 to 25 years.

CAPF AC Eligibility Criteria 2024: Body Tattoo

To be eligible for the UPSC CAPF Exam 2024 with tattoos, follow these guidelines:

  • Content: Tattoos with religious symbols, figures, or names are allowed, similar to practices in the Indian Army.
  • Tattoo Placement: Tattoos on common body parts like the inner forearm (especially the left forearm since it’s a non-saluting limb) or the back of the hands are acceptable.
  • Size Limit: Ensure the tattoo size is less than ¼ of the respective body part, such as the elbow or hand.

 

UPSC CAPF Eligibility Criteria 2024: Medical Requirement

 

 CAPF Medical requirements are :

 

 

Carrying Angle

Males: Carrying angle should be 15 degrees. 

 Females: Carrying angle should be 20 degrees.

Nose

No DNS (deviated nasal septum), atrophic rhinitis, tuberculous ulceration, or chronic sinusitis.

Ear

No deafness or chronic ear discharge,  Ear canal must be free from conditions like meatal atresia, exostosis, tumors. – No history of recurring earache, tinnitus, or vertigo.

Neck

No swollen lymph nodes, thyroid or other neck swellings. – Able to fully extend the neck without difficulty. – No signs of spinal or cervical vertebral disease.

Teeth

Adequate number of healthy teeth for proper mastication. – No severe pyorrhea.

Chronic Skin Disorders

No chronic skin diseases such as leprosy, chronic eczema, dermatitis, widespread Pityriasis Versicolor, psoriasis, SLE, or other skin conditions

Venereal Disease

No history of venereal disease. – No clinical signs or indications of active venereal disease.
