What is BLAT?

Banaras Hindu University Law Entrance Test (BLAT) is a law entrance examination held by the Banaras Hindu University (BHU) for admission to law courses. For undergraduate and postgraduate admission, BHU holds two separate exams. UET (Undergraduate Entrance Test) is used for undergraduate admission, and PET (Postgraduate Entrance Test) is used for postgraduate admission.

BLAT 2023 Eligibility Criteria

Qualifications 

The minimum eligibility requirement for LLB (Hons) is a BA/ B.Sc/ B.Com/ Shastri (at least 10+2+3 pattern) with at least 50% aggregate marks. Any other degree under the pattern 10+2+3 recognized by the Bar Council of India with a minimum aggregate of 50% considered. 

Age Limit

The Supreme Court has removed the age restriction for BHU Law, so candidates of all ages are eligible to apply.

Nationality

Candidates must obtain a Migration Certificate from their previous university in order to meet the eligibility criteria for Indian citizenship.

Foreign nationals are eligible if they have 10+2+3 from an equivalent university, a valid foreign passport, and adequate knowledge of English and Hindi for the test.

Candidates' attempts are not limited in any way.

  • The Banaras Hindu University will publish the BLAT 2023 application form on their official website.
  • Candidates who wish to apply for the BLAT 2023 must complete an application form.
  • All aspiring candidates are advised to fill out all of the required information in the application form in accordance with the guidelines outlined in their documents.
  • While filling out the application form, candidates should keep the size and format of the required documents in mind.
  • It should be noted that the Application Fee, once paid, will not be refunded.

BLAT 2023 Application Fees

  • Application fees for BLAT 2023 can be paid both online and offline. The BLAT registration process will be completed only after the application fees have been paid.
  • BLAT 2023 application fees must be paid online using credit cards, debit cards, or net banking. 
  • Candidates who do not have access to online payment methods may pay the application fee in another way. They can pay the fee in HDFC bank branches using a challan.

BLAT 2023 Admit Card

The official authorities will make the BLAT 2023 admit card available on the BHU official website. The admit card for the BLAT exam is usually released a week or so before the exam. Registered candidates will be issued admit cards, which they can download using their login credentials.

After downloading the BLAT 2023 admit card, candidates must affix a passport-sized color photograph to the admit card. Candidates must download the admit card and print multiple copies of it, which must be kept until the admission process is completed. The admit card, along with other necessary documents, must be brought to the examination site.

Candidates can obtain their BLAT 2023 admit card by visiting the official website. To download the admit card for the BLAT 2023 examination, the candidate must complete all of the steps. All of the steps are outlined below:

  • Locate the "Admit Card for LLB/LLM" slot and click the "LLB/LLM admit card" link.

BLAT 2023 Counseling will take place under the supervision of a jury of faculty members from Banaras Hindu University's main campus. Counseling will be completed entirely online, and call letters will be generated for each individual who has qualified for the examination.

How to Register for BLAT 2023 Counselling?

  • Before participating in the online counselling program, qualified candidates will be asked to complete a preference form. To select the preferred options, candidates must first log in to the candidate portal.
  • By logging in, the candidate will be prompted to enter personal information such as name, father's name, and date of birth.
