There is a wide range of arts subjects in 11th such as Geography, History, Political Science, Economics, Psychology and more. Below mentioned are the major subjects in 11th   

Generally, there are 5 subjects in the arts stream in 11th standard out of which 4 subjects are compulsory and 1 subject is optional. You get the maximum number of subjects in the Arts stream as compared to the Commerce and Science stream. Subjects can vary from school to school.

  • Compulsory Subjects: The four mandatory subjects in the arts stream are History, Geography, Political Science, and English.
  • 5th Main Subject: Apart from the 4 mandatory subjects, one must choose one more subject as a main subject. Student have to select any one subject out of “primary optional according to their interest level.
  • 6th Optional Subject: Students can choose one additional subject as an optional subject from the “secondary optional” subject list.
