About AUDDE: Annamalai University Distance Education began in 1979 in Cuddalore, Tamil Nadu. It is recognized by AICTE, UGC, MCI, DCI, and NCTE and achieved an "A" from NAAC in 2014. Additionally, AUDDE includes 20 departments for various courses and DEC-accredited remote learning programs. Its distance learning program offers approximately 500 courses in business, science, engineering, management, law, medicine, education, and allied health sciences.

This university is also the first in India to provide online PG degrees in law, biotechnology, zoology, chemistry, and physics. It also provides a wide range of programs in management, hotel management, fashion design, textile design, retail management, and more.

Annamalai University Distance Education allows students to apply for their desired degree online or offline. It admits students based on merit and qualifications. AUDDE has 74 Indian study centres. Students can get counseling, study materials, and coursework support at these schools.

Annamalai University DDE offers more than 500 courses in different streams, such as science, commerce, engineering, agriculture, education, law, medicine, management, and arts. It also provides a range of Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Diploma, PG Diploma, and Double Degree Courses.

 

Annamalai University Distance Education (AUDDE) UG Courses

AUDDE accepts applications from all eligible candidates, while admission is strictly based on merit. Basic eligibility requirements for applying to any of the university's UG programs include passing 10+2 with a minimum overall grade point average of 50%.

Once they have been chosen for admission, candidates must attend a university-conducted counseling session. Applicants are required to present their original academic credentials when receiving counseling.

Annamalai University Distance Education (AUDDE) PG Admissions 2024-25

Annamalai University Distance Education PG Courses are exclusively admitted based on merit. Graduation in the relevant field with a minimum cumulative GPA of 45- 50% is the basic requirement for applying to any of the PG courses offered by the university. Candidates must attend a counseling session the university holds after being accepted for admission.

Candidates can obtain an application form by downloading it from the university's website, completing it, and sending it—along with the necessary payment—by demand draft made out to "The Director, DDE, Annamalai University." Candidates must submit their completed and properly signed application forms and attested photocopies of all necessary supporting documentation by the specified deadlines after receiving the application form.

Selection to AUDDE's PG programs is based on merit, determined by the student's graduate grade point average and pertinent subject(s) performance. Additionally, counseling sessions are necessary for the final candidate selection.

  • Candidates for postgraduate programs must hold graduate degrees in the applicable field with at least a 50% average.
  • SC/ST candidates must receive at least 45% in their most recent qualifying exam, while general candidates must receive at least 50%. 
  • To be eligible for admission, candidates must have a minimum GPA of 50% at graduation.
  • The above courses are finally admitted through the counseling process.

Annamalai University Distance Education (AUDDE) Admissions 2024-25

Annamalai University Distance Education holds its admissions process twice a year, in January and July. BA, B. Com, B. Sc, MBA, BBA, MA, M. Com, and M.Sc degrees are available. Online or offline application processes are available. Merit will be considered for some courses, while entrance exams will be administered for other classes for evaluation purposes. There are no entrance examinations for admission to most of the courses. Selection for Annamalai University Distance Education will be based on merit or the candidate's past academic history.

  • Before registering for any course, students must score at least 40% on their past qualifying exams (44% for SC/ST applicants).
  • Candidates for the university's postgraduate programs must hold a suitable bachelor's degree.
  • Visit Annamalai University's DDE portal to register for distance education courses.
  • Demand drafts can cover the application fee when submitted at the university office.
  • Seats will be assigned during counseling.
  • Annamalai University Distance Education offers UG, PG, Diploma, Certificate, and Ph.D. programs. Some PG programs require entrance exams, while UG programs are merit-based.
  • Management and research students must pass a university entrance exam.

Annamalai University Distance Education (AUDDE) Study Material

Upon enrolling in a program offered by the Annamalai University Centre for Distance Education (CDOE), you will be provided with all the essential study materials, which encompass the program regulations and syllabus.  Typically, you will receive them immediately upon admission.  Otherwise, the CDOE will dispatch them to you through registered mail. 

However, in case you misplace your study materials, you have the option to obtain a new set from the CDOE by paying a cost of Rs. 200 per course.  You have the option to utilize any of the available payment methods to cover the expense of this replacement.

 

Annamalai University Distance Education (AUDDE) Exam

Annamalai University conducts exams throughout the year. The main annual exams are held in December, typically starting on the 26th. Semester exams and supplementary exams for those who missed exams or failed previously are held in May, usually starting on the 19th.  These dates can be postponed based on government guidelines.

It's important to note that students must pay their tuition fees before registering for exams in December or May.  Those who haven't paid won't be allowed to register.

The Annamalai University Distance Education website audde.in provides application forms, exam center information, timetables, fees, and other exam regulations.

Students should be aware that missing mandatory Practical Coursework Projects (PCPs) will disqualify them from taking the final exams, even if they register. If a student registers and takes the exam despite failing to meet the attendance requirements, their results won't be declared.

 

Annamalai University Distance Education (AUDDE) Hall Ticket

AUDDE hall tickets are crucial for appearing in exams. You can download them easily from the Annamalai University website @ annamalaiuniversity.ac.in just a week before your exams begin. However, if you registered on time and still can't find your hall ticket on the website, don't hesitate to contact the Controller of Examinations for assistance. Remember, you won't be allowed to take the exam without a valid hall ticket, so make sure to download or address any issues beforehand.
