Alagappa University DDE: Admissions 2024, Fees, Courses, Placement, Result
The Alagappa University Directorate of Distance Education (DDE) provides high-quality distance learning. The DEC and DEB-approved state university was founded in 1992. The NAAC awarded the university an 'A+' rating. Alagappa University in Karaikudi is the DDE's affiliate.
Under UGC-DEB Regulations 2020, the DDE became the Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE). The CDOE offers seven postgraduate courses in English, Bengali, Nepali, Philosophy, Political Science, History, Mathematics, and a B.Com. The Alagappa Distance Education offers high-quality postgraduate and undergraduate programs through Open and Distance Learning (ODL) and Online Learning (OL).
The CDOE aims to prepare students to compete with traditional schools. ICT tools and web-based services have improved teaching-learning delivery. In July 2023, the CDOE announced three undergraduate and five postgraduate programs. The Indian government's e-VBAB scholarship program includes African and Afghan students.

Alagappa University Distance Education (CDOE) Admission Process 2024
Alagappa University's Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE) accepts students twice yearly using calendar-year and academic-year admission. Applicants may apply directly to the institution or through its Learning Centres.
Online Application Process:
- Visit the university's official website.
- Download and fill out the application form with all necessary details.
- Attach the required documents, pay the registration fee via Demand Draft, and send the application to:
- The Director, Directorate of Distance Education, Alagappa University, Karaikudi, 630 004.
Offline Application Process:
- Visit the university in person.
- Pay the application fee and obtain the form.
Required documents:
- Original and attested copy of HSC/Diploma/Degree Certificate.
- Student index card with a photo and signature.
- Demand Draft for application fee payable to "The Director, DDE, Alagappa University" at Karaikudi.
Note: Transfer Certificate is not required, but a Course Completion Certificate can be provided upon request.
Learning Centres Application Process
- Apply directly at the university's Learning Centres.
- A list of centers is available on the official website.
- Required two Demand Drafts:
- One is for "The Director, DDE, Alagappa University," payable at Karaikudi.
- One for the respective Learning Centre.
- Application fees: INR 300 for postgraduate courses, INR 100 for other courses.
- The documents needed are the same as for the direct university application.
Note: Both methods require the same documentation for submission.

Alagappa University Distance Education (CDOE) Result 2024
The official website of Alagappa University has published the results for a range of undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) programs. Students can verify their results using their registration number on the web-based platform. The university permits students to request a revaluation of their results within 15 days of the announcement of the results. The university releases semester exam results 30-35 days after UG and PG exams.
