The National Law University, Delhi will release AILET Admit Card 2024 on the official website i.e. https://nationallawuniversitydelhi.in/ on 20 November 2023. Interested candidates can access the AILET 2024 Admit Card on the official website. The notification released by NLU Delhi provides information about the dates for the AILET 2024 examination. The AILET 2024 Exam is scheduled to be held on December 10, 2023. AILET is a national-level law entrance exam conducted by NLUD every year to enroll students at the prestigious National Law University (NLU), Delhi. According to the official AILET notification, the exam will be conducted in a pen-paper test format from 11 am to 12.30 pm.

What is AILET?

All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) is an annual entrance exam held by National Law University, Delhi for admission to the university's Undergraduate (UG), Postgraduate (PG), and Doctorate (Ph.D.) programs. AILET 2024 is a comprehension-based offline examination. The exam is available in 39 cities throughout India.

AILET 2024 Eligibility Criteria

National Law University, Delhi offers a 5-year integrated BA LLB, LLM, and PhD in Law program via the AILET exam. Each of these courses has its own set of eligibility requirements. The complete information is provided below.

BA LLB

  1. 12th Grade or a comparable exam with 45% (or 40% for SC/ST/Persons with Disabilities).Candidates who will be taking the 12th grade exam in 2024 are also eligible to apply.
  2. Foreign nationals are exempt from taking the AILET, but they must have obtained at least 65% in the qualifying examination.

LLM 

  1. LLB or equivalent degree with at least 50% (45% for SC/ST/people with disabilities).
  2. Candidates who are in their final year of law school are also eligible to apply.

PhD

  1. LL.M. or an equivalent law degree with 55% marks (50% in the case of SC/ST/PWD)
  2. AILET is not required for UGC-JRF candidates or foreign nationals.

AILET Age Limit

The authorities have not specified an upper NLU Delhi age limit for taking the AILET 2024. Candidates of any age may apply for the AILET if they meet the basic educational requirements.

AILET 2024 Application Form

AILET 2024 application forms will be made available online in the first week of September 2023. Candidates must first choose an application form and then click the apply button to complete the form with the required information. Candidates must fill out all of the required information on the application form. The deadline for submitting AILET 2024 application forms will be in the third week of November 2023, tentatively.

How to fill AILET 2024 Application Form?

Candidates interested in applying for AILET 2024 should follow the steps outlined below:

Step 1: Online registration

Candidates must go to the NLU Delhi's official website, nludelhi.ac.in. Then, they must click on 'Register to Apply Now,' where they must create a signup or login account by providing information such as their name, email address, password, date of birth, mobile number, and contact information.

Step 2: Select the law course 

Candidates must choose between undergraduate and postgraduate law courses when taking the exam. Candidates must choose an application form for BA LLB (Hons), LLM, or PhD. After selecting the course for which they wish to be admitted, candidates must proceed by clicking the "Apply Now" button.

Step 3: Fill out the application form

After successfully creating the AILET 2024 login account, candidates should fill out the following information:

  • Religion
  • Category
  • Nationality
  • Examination centre
  • Address of communication
  • Education details and
  • Parent's or guardian's details

Step 4: Upload Documents

Candidates must upload their photograph and signature in accordance with the guidelines below:

  • The file must be in JPG, GIF, or BMP format.
  • The file should be a scanned copy of their most recent color photograph with a light background, with the candidates' face covering at least 75% of the photo.

  • It must be in JPG, GIF, or BMP format.
  • It should be a scanned copy of your signature in black or blue ink on a light background. The image should be crisp and free of grain.

Step 5: Pay the application fee

Candidates must pay the following application fee as the final step in completing the application process:

  • Online mode - Candidates can pay the application fee online using a credit card, debit card, or net banking option via an online payment gateway.
  • Offline mode - Candidates who wish to pay the application fee offline must select 'Cash Deposit at Post Office' as the mode of payment.
