Constitutional Law

Important topics to study for this section include the Judiciary, Acts such as Panchayati Raj, Emergency powers, Human Rights, and Customary Law.

Indian Penal Code (IPC)

The official criminal code of India is a comprehensive code that addresses all aspects of criminal law. Read various sections of IPC to prepare for this section.

Criminal Procedure Code

Read up on topics such as CPC's history, current news, and other fundamental concepts to prepare for this section.

Code of Civil Procedure

 The Code of Civil Procedure, an important branch of procedural law, governs the law that governs the procedure followed in civil court. To prepare for this subject, candidates should be familiar with all of its rules, sections, and other key terms such as Civil Suit, Jurisdiction, Judgement, Decree, Execution, and Appeals.

Evidence Act

The Act was first passed in India in 1872 and contains several important sections that candidates should be familiar with.

Family Law

This section addresses issues concerning custody, placement, maintenance, paternity, property division, and child support.

Law of Contract

 It is one of India's oldest mercantile laws, having gone into effect in 1872. Candidates can prepare for this section by studying topics such as Contract Types, Contract Essentials, Legal Rules Regarding Consideration, and so on.

Law of Tort

Some crucial subject areas to focus on when preparing for this section encompass concepts such as the Nature and Definition of Tort, Nuisance, Defamation, Consumer Protection, Remoteness of Damages, and more.

Alternate Dispute Redressal Including Arbitration Act:

 ADR offers to resolve all types of disputes, including civil, commercial, and family matters, in which people are unable to begin any type of negotiation and reach a settlement. Arbitration, conciliation, mediation, negotiation, and Lok Adalat are all options for dispute resolution under the redressal system. AIBE candidates must be familiar with all settlements, including the Arbitration Act.

Public Interest Litigation

PIL refers to litigation filed in a court of law for the protection of the public interest. Candidates should be aware of issues such as neglected children, food adulteration, atrocities against women, bonded labor, worker exploitation, and environmental pollution. Candidates should also be aware of some landmark cases and judgments handed down by the Indian judiciary.  

Labour and Industrial Laws

It establishes the code of conduct for both the employee and the employer. Candidates should be knowledgeable about labor policy and legislation, social security for workers, labor and employment statistics, employment services and vocational training, child labor policy, and so on.

 Law-Related Taxation

Candidates should be knowledgeable about all aspects of tax law, such as different types of taxes, tax reforms, and so on.
