What is ACT?

The ACT Exam is a standardized test that evaluates your readiness for college and takes your results into account when deciding who to admit. This is one of the criteria used to determine whether you are eligible to be admitted to a college or university. English, Math, Reading, Science, and an optional Writing (essay) section make up the five sections of the ACT exam.

ACT, Inc. is in charge of running the ACT. The full form of the ACT is American College Testing. Students applying to undergraduate programs in the United States and Canada must take this standardized exam. ACT test  2023 Eligibility Criteria

  • The ACT Exam  2023 test has no specific eligibility criteria for prospective candidates, as anyone over the age of 13 can take it.
  • Instead, through ACT scores, a prospective candidate must meet the eligibility criteria for the specific college or university to which he or she will apply. Furthermore, a candidate may take the ACT test a maximum of 12 times.
  • Nationality: Students from any country can apply for and take the ACT exam. However, the eligibility requirements of the institute to which they are applying will be binding on them.
  • Age Restrictions: There are no age restrictions for the ACT test 2023. The ACT test is open to students over the age of 13. Students under the age of 13 will have to approach the authorities for the same.

ACT Test Registration

The ACT registration process and dates are the same for all non-US nations. You will be able to finish your ACT registration and reserve the appropriate test date before the deadline once you create your MyACT account. To secure the preferred slot and test location, you must complete the ACT registration process as soon as possible. Additionally, scheduling the ACT test date at least two months before the deadline for college applications is advised.

Scoring in ACT Test 

The ACT exam is scored on a 1 to 36 point scale for each section (English, Math, Reading, and Science). The composite score is the sum of the results from all four tests. Students who take the optional writing test will receive a writing score ranging from 1 to 36. The writing score has no bearing on the overall score.

ACT Exam Scores are Valid for Five Years - The ACT test total scores are valid for five years after the testing year in which you took the test.

ACT Test Result 2023

The results of the ACT test are usually available online within two weeks of the test date, but it can take up to eight weeks in some cases. The results of the writing section are available two weeks after the results of the multiple-choice sections. Students who have taken the writing test are unable to send their other remaining scores to prospective universities unless they have taken the writing test.
