Uka Tarsadia University,Surat  is established in the year 2011 under Gujrat Private University (Amendment) Act No. 25 of 2011. It is financially supported by  Bardoli Pradesh Kelavani Mandal with the help of generous donation from B U Patel.It is one of the Fastest growing university in Gujrat with over 9500+ students. It is most commonly referred to as UTU among students. The University offers admissions in a comprehensive array of academic programs across the disciplines of Management, Computer Science, Engineering and Technology, Bio-Technology, Micro Biology, Science, Pharmacy, Commerce, Nursing, Physiotherapy, Physical Education and others that lead students to self-enrichment and productive careers in their respective professions, government, business and industry.

Situated in the Southern area of the territory of Gujarat in India, Uka Tarsadia is a private state university spread in a lush green campus of 100 acres with Well developed Infrastructure which is Eco-Friendly and ergonomically designed. Around 10370 students get enrolled here annually.

For Ph.D. and Research programmes, the university has collaborated with foreign universities in Canada, Germany, U.S.A, and Nigeria. To apply for Under Graduates course, one has to be  Senior Secondary pass out then you can directly apply on the official website of the university. To apply for Postgraduate courses GPAT, CMAT and CAT scores are accepted.

Uka Tarsadia University equally supports extracurricular activities and events. The cultural events can be broadly classified into competitions, festivals, workshops and celebrity shows. Uth festival- the official fest of the university is a festival of knowledge and culture that falls generally in the second week of February each year. A lot of festivals are also celebrated in the campus like Holi, Ganesh Chaturthi, Dussehra, Navratri.
