MD Arsh Dhaliwal Leads Green Initiative by Planting 300 Saplings on CGC Jhanjeri Campus
Arsh Dhaliwal, Managing Director of Chandigarh Group of Colleges (CGC), Jhanjeri, is also deeply committed to environmental sustainability. This dedication was recently showcased during a large-scale tree plantation drive on the CGC Jhanjeri campus, where 300 saplings were planted. The event saw enthusiastic participation from students, faculty, and staff, all united in their efforts to combat climate change.
The plantation drive aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modiâs âEk Ped Maa Ke Naamâ campaign and was supported by a range of educational sessions focused on the importance of trees in maintaining ecological balance. Mr. Dhaliwal actively participated in the drive, planting saplings himself and encouraging others to join in. He highlighted the critical role of trees in mitigating climate change and maintaining ecological equilibrium.
âPlanting saplings is a noble cause, akin to giving life. Trees are vital for our planet amidst rapid industrialization and urbanization. At CGC Jhanjeri, we are committed to conducting such initiatives on a grand scale to ensure a greener campus. Trees provide essential benefits, including cleaner air,â said Mr. Dhaliwal.
This drive underscores CGC Jhanjeriâs commitment to fostering a sustainable future and demonstrates that collective effort can lead to significant environmental impact.
