Due to by-elections, the University of Kerala has announced the postponement of all examinations scheduled for Wednesday, November 13, 2024. This postponement touches both theory and practical examinations. Revised dates for the affected examinations are available on the university’s website at www.keralauniversity.ac.in. The university has established that there will be no changes to examination centres or timings. Examinations scheduled for other days will proceed as planned.
In a related announcement, the government has declared a public holiday on November 13 for all government and public sector institutions and educational institutions within the Ernad, Vantur, and Nilambur constituencies in the Malappuram district. This holiday coincides with the Wayanad Lok Sabha by-elections.
As per the Negotiable Instruments Act, a holiday will apply to these constituencies on this day. All private commercial and engineering establishments within the designated constituencies must provide their employees with paid leave for November 13. Furthermore, government and private employees registered to vote in the Wayanad and Chelakkara constituencies but working outside these areas will also receive a paid holiday.
