Siddaganga Institute of Technology (SIT), Tumkur Admissions
Siddaganga Institute of Technology (SIT), Tumkur, Karnataka), founded in 1963, is an elite institution. It provides undergraduate (UG), graduate (PG), and Ph.D. programs in many Engineering science fields. Admission in SIT is such that outstanding students are selected through entrance examinations and educational background. Programs and Eligibility
Undergraduate Programs (B.E.): Undergraduate Programs (B.E. ):
Total Intake: 950 students across 12 programs.
Eligibility: Candidates must have done 10+2 with a minimum of at least 45% aggregate marks.
Selection Process: On the basis of Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) marks or marks obtained via the COMEDK, for students who do not belong to the state of Karnataka.
Architecture Applicants: Must pass the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA).
Postgraduate Programs (M.Tech, MBA, MCA): Postgraduate Programs (M.Tech, MBA, MCA):
Total Intake: 432 students across 16 programs.
Eligibility for M.Tech: Graduation (B.E./B.Tech/M.Sc.) with at least 50% marks.
Eligibility for MBA/MCA: Graduation with a minimum of 45% marks.
Selection Process
M.Tech: Based on Karnataka PGCET or GATE scores.
MBA and MCA: Based on Karnataka PGCET scores.
Ph.D. Programs:
Eligibility: A master’s degree in the relevant field.
Selection Process: According to the marks earned in the previous qualifying examination and the interview performance of the applicant before SIT.
Application Process for 2024
B.E. Programs
Step 1: Visit the KCET website and download the information brochure.
Step 2: Complete the online application form with correct information and submit the necessary papers such as passport sized photo, candidate's signature, left-hand thumb impression, and parent's signature.
Step 3: Pay the application fee online through e-Challan.
Step 4: Submit the application form and keep the form as a reference for later use in the admission process.
Step 5: Admit cards will be issued for the CET, which must be preserved for admission purposes.
Note: Non-Karnataka candidates can apply through the COMEDK portal.
M.Tech, MBA, and MCA Programs: M.Tech, MBA, and MCA Programs
The process is similar to the B.E. Thus, while candidates are certainly entitled to apply to have these calls supported, it should be emphasised that applications must be made to the PGCET website only.
Ph.D. Programs
Step 1: Obtain the application form from SIT’s admission cell.
Step 2: Fill out the form and attach relevant documents.
Step 3: (Please submit the form together with the registration fee (cash or demand draft) at the deadline.
Step 4: Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed, and admission will be approved accordingly.

Migration Certificate
KCET or PGCET Marks Card.
Caste Certificate (if applicable).

Placement: Placements were phenomenal but job opportunities weren’t great cause the moment you get placed in a company you were not allowed to appear for any other company unless you surrender your offer letters.
