MIT Admission 2024: Eligibility & Selection Criteria
Candidates are required to appear and gain an acceptable score in the entrance exam accepted for the chosen course. Eligibility Criteria, Selection Criteria afor the courses is given below.

- If you are eligible for 12th or Equivalent and satisfy the eligibility criteria below, then you can seek admission to the following courses.
- Candidate should have passed the 12th Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education OR its equivalent examination AND secured minimum 50% marks.
- Minimum 45% marks in case of candidates of Backward class categories and Physically Handicapped, in Physics and Mathematics as compulsory and any optional subjects like Chemistry, Biology, Bio-Technology.
- Technical Vocational Subject added together, AND Candidate should have a valid MHT-CET OR JEE Score.
- Students will be selected for admission based on marks obtained at MHT-CET 2017. If the seats remain vacant, merit is based on marks obtained at JEE Mains Paper.
- Diploma/ ITI holders who have passed the Diploma course in Engineering/Technology with a minimum of 50% marks and medium of instruction as
- English from the AICTE-approved Polytechnics AND should have a valid MHT-CET OR JEE Score.
- ITI /Diploma holders who have passed the Diploma course in Engineering/Technology with a minimum of 50% marks and medium of instruction as
- English from the AICTE-approved Polytechnics are also eligible for Direct Second Year in an appropriate respective branch in case of vacancies arising after Direct Second Year Admissions as per the guidelines of the Competent Authority.
Steps for MIT Admissions Process 2024
Admission process for MIT is done through the official website of MIT via an online procedure.
Step 1: MIT Application Process 2024
- Application is to be filled online.
Step 2: Entrance Exam, Result & Counselling
- Candidate must appear for entrance exams based on the scores of which the selection rounds will be conducted.
- Upon the declaration of the entrance exam results, a merit-list for counselling will be created.
Step 3: Fee Payment
- Selected students will receive a provisional offer letter, to confirm the offer, the students will be required to pay the first instalment.
Step 4: Declaration of Final Offer Letter
- The university will release the final offer letter once the documents have been verified.
Direct Second (Lateral entry) year of B.Tech:
- You should have passed a three-year Diploma examination in the applicable field of Engineering/Technology from an AICET-approved institution, with at least 50% marks.
- Admission to the various courses in engineering and technology is accepted through two main modes: Central counseling and direct counseling at the institute level. However, the eligibility criteria in both modes remain the same.
A competent Authority conducts Central Counselling like the Directorate of Technical Education(DTE), Mumbai in Maharashtra State. - Candidate should have passed a Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent in the relevant field of Engineering/Technology specified by the concerned University for admission to a particular Postgraduate course from an AICET-approved institution, with at least 50% marks, and should have obtained a score in GATE.
- It is mandatory for all candidates desirous of seeking admission to professional courses to complete the formalities of registration on the appropriate portals, verification of Documents at any of the Facilitation Centres, and possession of a merit number.
- This applies for admission under both CAP and Institute Level Rounds.
- The eligibility criteria mentioned above are subject to the recommendation from the respective competent authorities from time to time.
- Reservation norms will be as per the guideline of the compete Authority /State Govt / DTE / University as applicable.
- All types of scholarships are offered to the eligible ones per the Competent Authority guidelines.

Placement: Placements here would be great. As my batch was the first batch ever for MIT WPU. And for information MIT PUNE had changed itself last year into MIT WPU and hence we students believe that the university will ensure 100% placement for our and further coming batches, also this was stated at the time of admission.

Placement: There are 100% placements as said. If you get the admission, the college offers things which no college offers in India.The companies that come to the campus selection are all national level and well-set up companies. Some of which are accenture, Blue star, IBM, Infosys etc. In the year 2017-18 there were a total of 1131 placements from the companies like accenture, Infosys etc. Most jobs were provided by accenture i. e. 497 followed by Infosys which provided 244.Highest package is 70 Lacs& lowest package is 8 Lacs.

Placement: The placement here is mostly for computer science and information technology related batches and not that much for electronics branch of technology. We get TCS as our core company and many other companies also do take part in our placement cell for selection of college students.

Faculty: The teachers here at MIT-WPU are very well qualified, knowledgeable and helpful. They are always ready to serve you in any of your academics or other doubts.The faculty are very old and very much experienced. All the teachers have done PhD or pursuing PhD. They have trimester pattern exams thrice a year.
