Indian Institute of Information Technology, Guwahati Admissions

The admission process for the Indian Institute of Information Technology Guwahati (IIIT Guwahati) is primarily based on entrance exams.

Application

Eligible candidates must fill out the online application form and pay the application fee. The application form should be filled in the provided Word File template and converted to PDF before uploading.

Entrance exam

Candidates must have a valid score in the JEE Main for the BTech course, or a valid GATE/NET scorecard for the MTech or PhD course.

Merit list

The institute prepares merit lists based on the entrance exam scores to shortlist candidates for admission.

Counseling

Candidates must participate in the counseling process, which may include JoSAA for BTech and a personal interview for MTech.

Final admission

Shortlisted candidates must pay the course-wise fees to finalize their seats. 

Note:

Shortlisted candidates will be called for an online interview by email. The call letter will include details about the interview, and may also mention a written test. 
If original certificates are not in English or Hindi, an English or Hindi translation certified by the graduating institute's Principal/Director or other competent authority will be required. 
Hostel fees are charged on a pro-rata basis, based on when the student joins the hostel.
