It is important to note that out of three mentioned sections, the English language has weightage of 30 marks followed by 35 marks each for quantitative aptitude and reasoning ability. Although, marks scored in the English language will not be added in the total marks scored in the examination, qualifying the section is must to qualify the examination.

LIC AAO Exam Pattern Prelims:

To understand the examination, understanding the examination pattern is the key. Like every other exam, LIC AAO Exam Pattern also includes sections that can evaluate different skills of the applicants. Every section is allotted total marks and minimum qualifying marks as mentioned below:

Having depth knowledge of grammar will surely help the aspirants attempt maximum question with utmost accuracy.

Quantitative Aptitude Section:

One of the sections, which are most scoring and maximum weightage, is Quantitative Aptitude. Considering the very less amount of time given to solve 35 questions, the speed of attempting the questions and time management will ensure a good score in this section. Candidate should try to attempt as many questions as possible. Candidates having a good hold on topics like quadratic equations, Approximations and simplification, and number series will surely get added benefit as these questions take less time.

Candidate should also try to attempt questions Data interpretations, ever question paper have at least three questions from this topic and attempting at least two is a good move.

Once you have a good count of correctly attempted questions, move to next type of questions which are little tricky with the time left in hand and ensure to attempt as many as possible.

Reasoning Ability Section:

This particular section, unlike others, cannot be pinpointed with a set rule to solve the questions. Candidates can simply relay on their practices of previous year question papers as well as mock tests to attempt questions from this particular segment. Most of the tricky questions are asked from topics like direction and distances, inequalities, coding- decoding, alphanumeric series and syllogism. A better understanding of questions is must before finalizing the answer as its very easy to get tricked by these questions.
