CSAB Counselling 2024: Important Dates, Eligibility, Registration, Documents, Seat Allotment Round 2(Out)

Registration for CSAB Counseling 2024 will open in the final week of June 2024. On the CSAB official website, csab.nic.in, students can register for CSAB NEUT 2024 counseling. The first and second rounds of the CSAB 2024 seat allotment lists will be issued in the third and final weeks of July, respectively. Also, the CSAB 2024 Counselling Special Round 1 Registration will open in the first week of August 2024 and the seat allocation list will be released in the second week of August 2024. 
Candidates who meet the qualifying requirements for JEE Main 2024, whether they participated in the JoSAA 2024 counselling or not, and regardless of whether they were given a seat in the JoSAA 2024 counselling, are able to participate in the CSAB 2024 Counselling.

What is CSAB?

The Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB), was established by the Indian government for admissions to undergraduate engineering, technology, and architecture programs at NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs. Candidates can apply through CSAB counselling for open seats in UG courses that these participating institutes offer. Candidates are able to participate in the CSAB special round  if they have already completed JoSAA or they did not apply for JoSAA counseling.

CSAB Counselling 2024 Eligibility Criteria

The CSAB Counselling 2024 eligibility criteria are listed in the points below: 

  • Applicants who have registered for JoSAA counseling and were allotted a seat in any of Rounds 1 through 6 are eligible to participate in the CSAB special round. 
  • Those who have not registered for JoSAA counseling but are eligible based on their JEE Main rank may register for the CSAB special round.
  • The CSAB special round is open to candidates who enrolled for JoSAA but weren't allotted a seat in the first six rounds. 
  • CSAB is open to candidates who have accepted a seat and paid half of the admission fee.
  • CSAB isn't available to candidates who, at the time of reporting, selected "Not to Participate in Special Round."

CSAB Counselling Registration 2024

By 2024, CSAB counseling registration will be open on the official website, according to the Central Seat Allocation Board. Also, the government will start accepting registrations for CSAB NEUT 2024 at csab.nic.in. A notification of the final day to complete the 2024 CSAB counseling registration will be sent with the official brochure. Check the special rounds online CSAB 2024 registration procedure below:

  • Go to CSAB official webpage at csab.nic.in. 
  • For registration, enter your JEE Main Roll Number along with the other important information. 
  • Update some information such as the category, gender, nationality, and state of eligibility.
  • Upload the scanned copies of the files listed below. 
  • Confirm the registration and pay the participation or processing cost.

Documents Required for CSAB Counselling 2024

The documents listed below are required at the time of CSAB counseling 2024:

  • Class 10 mark sheet.
  • Class 12 mark sheet.  
  • Category Certificate.
  • PwD Certificate (if applicable).  
  • State of Eligibility Certificate.
  • Affidavit to be uploaded by PwD candidate.

CSAB Counselling Choice Filling 2024

The Central Seat Allocation Board will start online CSAB counseling choice filling 2024 on their official website. The selections made by candidates during JoSAA counseling are not valid; instead, they must make new selections for CSAB 2024 counseling. The candidates are able to select as many options as they like. Candidates must "Save" and "Lock" their selections after completing them in order for the seat allocation outcome to be processed. Along with the official notification, the CSAB choice filling 2024 schedule will be announced.

CSAB 2024 Counselling Seat Acceptance & Reporting Process

You can review the seat acceptance and reporting procedure below. You should select one of the given choices in order to accept the seat. 

  • Freeze: The applicant must opt for this if they are happy with their seat assignment and do not wish to compete in Round 2.
  • Slide: This option should be selected if the candidate wish to stay at the same institute but has better course assignment. If the candidate receives a higher allotment, the assigned seat will be accepted in these situations and will not be cancelled. 
  • Float: Candidate must select this option if they are hoping for a better institute allotment. When this occurs, the designated seat will be accepted and will be cancelled when the candidate receives a superior allotment in the next round.
