The Center for Distance Education (CDE) at Bharathidasan University (BDU) was founded in 1992 with the goal of offering distance education courses that are comparable to those provided in the traditional mode. The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2019 published a ranking of the top 60 Indian universities, with the institute coming in at number 60. 

64 programs are available through distance learning at Bharathidasan University Centre for Distance Education (BUCDE), including three professional programs in MBA and MCA and 28 undergraduate, 22 graduate, and 11 postgraduate diploma, diploma, and certificate programs. Bharathidasan University Distance Education Admissions 2025

Bharathidasan University BEd Admission has been started and soon it will announce the last date of admission. Visitors to the university's official website were required to complete the application form before the deadline in order to be considered for admission. The university in the ODL offers undergraduate and graduate programs leading to general, professional, and certificate degrees. Additionally, 20 undergraduate and 19 graduate courses are available through the DEB-approved Bharathidasan University. A total of 03 courses from a diploma and certificate program are delivered online, along with 10 others.

• UG, PG, diploma, and professional programs are available through Bharathidasan University's distance learning. These courses are provided via distance learning and adhere to DEB and UGC regulations.
• Candidates must pass the equivalent exam administered by the Tamil Nadu government or have completed their 12th grade in a relevant discipline to be eligible for UG admission. a potential applicant who meets the requirements to submit an application for undergraduate admission.  An applicant must have graduated from an accredited university with a relevant degree in order to be admitted to postgraduate-level courses.
