VITEEE 2024 Exam Pattern
Over the past two years, VITEEE has undergone a number of adjustments. The exam was a pen-and-paper test up until 2013, after which it switched to a computer-based test. Up until 2020, there was no aptitude section in the exam, but in the 2024 exam, there will be an aptitude section, bringing the total number of sections in the VITEEE 2024 exam to 6. (Students have to attempt 5 since they will have to choose between Mathematics and Biology). The paper will only be available in English. The exam format for VITEEE 2024 is shown in the table below.
The VITEEE computer-based test (CBT) lasts 150 minutes, or 2.5 hours, in total. The paper has five sections in total, although there is no set amount of time for each one. Sections may be attempted by students in any sequence. The total number of questions in the test is 125, and each one is worth one mark. Candidates will receive one mark for each correct response, and incorrect or skipped questions will not result in a deduction of points.
If qualified, those who choose biology would be eligible for enrollment into B. Tech programmes at the campuses in Vellore and Bhopal. Candidates who choose mathematics will, if qualified, be eligible for all programmes on all campuses.
